14th Street Parking Deck

 The Parking deck provides the following:

  • 1,500 parking spaces
  • More parking for state employees

Scope of the Construction Project

  • Demolition of the Old Division of Consolidated Laboratory Services Building
  • Saved $485,000 by recycling of concrete, asphalt and metal instead of hauling materials to landfill
  • Recycled 100% of concrete on-site and used as backfill

Recycling Process Gets National Recognition

The Department of General Services demolition, recycling and construction of 14th parking deck was featured in the August 11, 2004 issue of ArchitectureWeek.
