Founded in 1972, DCLS is the nation's most diverse, the first consolidated state laboratory, and offers a wide variety of scientific testing in support of state agencies. As a consolidated laboratory system, DCLS is able to avoid unnecessary and wasteful duplication of expertise, personnel, equipment and supplies. This type of coordination is essential to productively handling the large volume of diverse samples received.
